Zero to Landfill
Wastewise is committed to achieving zero waste to landfill and contributing to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from waste.
We strive to develop and promote ways to recycle and recover value from waste and reduce the amount being sent to landfill. We partner with specialist organisations to transform recyclables into high quality end products. The residual waste, which cannot be recycled or composted, is turned into RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) or SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel) which is used to generate electricity and heat. This eliminates landfill and the harm it does to our environment.
