Who We Are

We have a proud history of delivering innovative, environmentally responsible and cost effective waste solutions across a range of sectors. In 2019, we achieved an overall recycling and recovery rate of over 99% and helped save our customers up to 30% on their waste management costs.

Conscious of our environmental and social responsibilities, we promote the use of sustainable waste treatment methods to help achieve zero waste to landfill. We invest heavily in our waste infrastructure to ensure that we are at the forefront of new technology developments and stay ahead of the latest legislation.

Our Experience

The Management Team

Managing Director Bob Wilkes Bob joined Wastewise in 2017 to support the firm's rapid growth, taking on the role of Operations and Development Manager. In early 2022 he took over as Managing Director responsible for the strategy, planning and management of the business.

Finance & Transport Director Steve Wardell One of the original team members, Steve heads up the Finance and Waste Collection functions. He has a vast understanding of the Group and holds strong and long-standing relationships with many of our key customers and suppliers.

Operations & Compliance Director Mick Wheatley Mick joined Wastewise in 2020 and has day-to-day responsibility for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our waste treatment sites. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the composting and organic waste recycling sector.

Wastewise manages our service delivery in accordance with contractually agreed Key Performance indictators (KPIs) which we regularly monitor and review with individual customers.

Social Responsibility We place great importance on being environmentally and socially responsible. We aim to develop and maintain good relationships with our neighbours and ensure that all operations and developments cause minimal impact and disruption.

We are committed to sustaining and improving the environment through the careful consideration of the facilities we provide and the way in which they are constructed and operated in order to minimise any adverse affects on the environment and public health.

Health & Safety We place great importance on health and safety. We invest considerable resources to assess and mitigate the potential risks to anyone affected by our operations. Where necessary we provide written Safe Operating Procedures to employees and contractors.

Our stringent training policy ensures that all our employees are suitably trained and resourced to fulfil their roles safely and in compliance with legal requirements.
