Wastewise opens new MRF facility in Hull
4th Apr 2011
Wastewise has officially opened its advanced Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in Hull to help local businesses improve their environmental performance and lower their waste disposal costs.
The new facility, which can process up to 45,000 tonnes of dry mixed recyclable waste per year, is equipped with advanced waste processing technology including an 8-bay picking line, mechanical separation and sorting systems as well as compaction and baling equipment.
Waste delivered into the MRF goes through a variety of mechanical and manual sorting processes to ensure we achieve optimum recycling and product quality levels. Once sorted, the materials are segregated and baled for reprocessing plants in the UK and abroad.
Dan Ingram, Sales & Commercial Director, commented "The new MRF will help businesses of all types and sizes increase their recycling to over 90% whilst saving up to 30% on their waste disposal costs. It is a genuine win/win scenario and as a result is attracting a lot of interest from local businesses."
