Biowise invests in new equipment for composting and wood recycling facility

AK435_Shredder_Thumb.jpgBiowise, our composting division, has recently invested over £400k in a Doppstadt AK 435 high speed shredder and two JCB 456 Wastemaster wheeled loaders for its composting and wood recycling facility.

As the global market leaders in shredding equipment, the Doppstadt AK 435 is designed using precision German engineering; it is extremely versatile and ideally suited to shredding a wide variety of materials including wood waste and green waste. It is also capable of a high throughput rate which will enable Biowise to recycle more organic waste and reduce the amount being sent to landfill.

The JCB wheeled loaders are specially designed for the tough demands of the waste and recycling industry and make light work of shredder loading, windrow turning, material stockpiling and rehandling. Both machines come with high-lift loader arms and large capacity buckets, one with top clamp, to aid load retention, maximise each load per pass and quickly fill high-sided bulkers.

John Shadlock, Operations Manager, commented "We are absolutely delighted with these machines. Not only will they help increase productivity levels and ensure optimum uptime for our business, they also offer significant health and safety benefits and will be a valuable asset to the composting operation as it continues to grow."
