Biowaste, Biowise and Dispit announce merger plans
5th Jan 2009Today three leading waste management and recycling companies in the Humber region announced plans to merge forming a unified and streamlined offering to meet public and private sector needs. The new company, Biowise Limited, will provide integrated waste management solutions specialising in the collection, recycling and recovery of waste to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and recover valuable raw materials.
Biowise has exciting growth plans including proposals for a state of the art in-vessel composting (IVC) facility to process kitchen and garden waste which would otherwise be sent to landfill. James Landau has joined the Group as Managing Director and will help guide the company through its development phase and beyond. Paul Landau was delighted he could extend the business within the family. “It is an ideal fit to have James onboard with his expertise in delivering major business transformation programmes. There are so many opportunities and new technologies available to more efficiently and sustainably deal with our waste; now is the time to expand a company that has been successfully trading for more than 40 years.”
The remaining Director to complete the management trio is Dan Ingram, a successful entrepreneur within the waste management, manufacturing and agricultural sectors and the first in the region to venture into composting. Dan will continue to drive the sales and marketing activity within the waste management, recycling and composting arms of the business. “We intend to broaden our offering to local authorities and businesses enabling them to improve environmental performance whilst lowering costs with the best interests of the community in mind.”
