Materials Recycling Facility (MRF)
Our advanced Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) handles a wide range of waste materials which we sort, segregate and bale before sending to reprocessors to recycle into new products.
Our newly commissioned MRF, which can process up to 45,000 tonnes of dry mixed recyclable waste per year, is equipped with advanced waste processing technology including an 8-bay picking line, mechanical separation and sorting systems as well as compaction and baling equipment.

Waste delivered into the MRF goes through a variety of mechanical and manual sorting processes to ensure we achieve optimum recycling and product quality levels. Once sorted, the materials are segregated and baled for reprocessing plants in the UK and abroad.
Our modern facility enables us to recycle the following materials:

Dry mixed recyclables are put into one bin and taken to our Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) where they are sorted and separated into different types of materials by hand and machine. Each material is then bulked up into large bales before being sent to reprocessors for further treatment and recycling into new products.
